Artist’s Statement
I began painting oils 'en plein air' (in the fresh air) three years ago last spring as the weather was so nice and I longed to escape the confines of my studio and connect once again with nature. I was totally surprised by the sense of wonder I felt, and the spontaneity and honesty the paintings revealed. I love the spiritual connection I make while the wind is blowing through my hair and the sounds and smells fill out my senses. A great passion has since overtaken me and I try to get out painting as often as my schedule and the weather permit.
