Rodrica Tilley, IPAP
Imaginative use of color marks the mature work of this northeastern Pennsylvania impressionist’s pastel paintings.
The excitement she feels looking at her surroundings is conveyed through the lines, layers and scumbles made on the paper by her pastel sticks. She looks for the incidental details that fully describe the depth and breadth of otherwise simple scenes. Her paintings are about clouds, grasses, reflections and atmosphere.
