Artist Statement
At some point in life, the original allure of painting can be replaced with the concerns of attaining and maintaining
reputation and proven continuing success. Instead of possessing the gift ...the time comes when the gift may possess you. having spent my lifetime experiencing the peaks...knowing well the valleys, I have come to se a painting as a means to celebrate living. Success may well be good , but painting must first lead to deeper seeing...building bridges
of intimacy with the subject, with one's Creator, and putting oneself in touch with the joy of living - thus nurturing a heart that steadfastly harbors thankfulness.
